Hebrews 13:16 (MSG)
“Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.”
I’m a millennial who holds fast to the peace sign.
Kitchen
I spent my childhood dreaming of becoming a chef. While those plans shifted, my passion for serving people never did. As a teen, I loved hosting Sunday dinners for the church at our house. In college, my favorite job was working as a catering assistant. As a young adult, I founded a Christian fellowship group called Soul Adults, where every gathering featured a message and a home-cooked meal. After all, The Gospel Comes with a House Key, and I encourage you to open yours to others.
As a 'hostess with the mostess,' I love making people feel like I was expecting them. Hospitality is my jam (and my secondary spiritual gift!), and I bring that same energy to every workshop I facilitate. You can trust that your team will feel valued, heard, and thoroughly enjoy themselves when we connect!
Workplace
My natural gifts developed into expertise through my career in Human Resources. I started as a retail HR Manager overseeing a team of 150 employees and now serve as an Organizational Consultant for a government agency of 16,000. Realizing my passion for public service, I earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit and Faith-Based Organizations.
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a corporate background, I bring a unique perspective to public service. I believe those of us serving the common good can and should operate with the same excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness often associated with the corporate world. This level of service isn’t just possible—it’s essential for advancing the Kingdom.
On the streets
I am deeply aware that I’ve done nothing to earn the grace, mercy, and favor that God has shown me, nor the gifts I’m eager to share. This awareness grows each time I pass someone experiencing homelessness—a group I’ve been especially drawn to since working in the public library system.
To support organizations and ministries serving people experiencing homelessness, I offer my services pro bono. All donations will help underwrite this offer. Please fill out the application below or help spread the word!
